Cheltenham Stars

Last week’s Cheltenham Festival was an amazing mix of weather, tragedy, elation and above all, great racing. New stars emerged and the Gold Cup was a thriller. Here a my drawings:

I’m a mixed media visual artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work reflects my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – there is movement and energy everywhere.

    These drawings are wonderful! I went to Newbury many many years ago to draw the races and so enjoyed it. There is so much movement here.
