Hello! A great new event took place in London this weekend, RideLondon engaged the whole cycling population of the city with races for amateurs and professionals alike. The course took a similar route to the Olympic road race last year, riding through the lovely county of Surrey with its deceptive climbs, woodland and refined villages. The last part of the race evoked the Tour de France, with a triumphant run through the streets of London, and a great chase up the Mall. Wonderful! Here are my drawings:

I’m a mixed media visual artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work reflects my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – there is movement and energy everywhere.
