Hola! Stage 9 of La Vuelta took a turn inland taking a course through typical Andalusian landscapes. Red and gold earth stretching between houses with terracotta rooftops, juliet balconies and pot geraniums. The course was back to rolling with a fearsome kick uphill to the finish. Exciting nip and tuck racing all the way, but the win went to Daniel Moreno who left everyone in his tracks for the last surge to take the stage win. Here are my drawings:

Through the streets to win!
I’m a contemporary artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I capture the energy of elusive moments often starting with a quick pen and ink drawing. I write and publish my artworks on a blog called ‘Racing Lines’.
