Hola! Stage 13 of La Vuelta continued through the hills and coast roads in the province of Barcelona. A lovely, sunny and hot day with crosswinds from the sea, the riders took in good climbs and descents through the dramatic landscape in and around Sitges with another uphill finish at Castelldefels. The stage was won by French rider Warren Barguil. Checking behind him as he approached the finish, he crossed the line 7 seconds ahead of everyone else! A very happy young man indeed! Here are my drawings:

I’m a contemporary artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I capture the energy of elusive moments often starting with a quick pen and ink drawing. I write and publish my artworks on a blog called ‘Racing Lines’.
