Hola! Stage 14 of La Vuelta arrived in Andorra to climb the Pyrenees. What a contrast to yesterday? The riders hit the mountains, the rain and the cold in one almighty blast. They battled slippery roads uphill but even more dangerously, the descents – whilst being desperate for warmth. Several riders retired with hypothermia, whilst others clung on to the wheels of their team-mates to get through this massive shock to the system.
Daniele Ratto managed supremely on this arduous stage to take a much deserved win. Here are my drawings:

I’m a contemporary artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I capture the energy of elusive moments often starting with a quick pen and ink drawing. I write and publish my artworks on a blog called ‘Racing Lines’.
