Hello! There has been an incredible sea battle taking place in the bay of San Fransisco. The countries engaged were the USA and New Zealand. The Kiwi team held the upper hand for nearly half the series. The USA made a bold step to bring in their reserve man after the fifth race. He seemed to make a difference. After more fantastic races, the USA team clawed their way back to take the trophy following a nail-biting and hair-raising day’s racing yesterday. However, it’s great to be able to say that the Americas Cup has some British fingerprints on it. Well done, Sir Ben! Here are my drawings:

I’m a contemporary artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I capture the energy of elusive moments often starting with a quick pen and ink drawing. I write and publish my artworks on a blog called ‘Racing Lines’.
