G’Day! The second round of battle for The Ashes commenced at The Gabba in Brisbane. Gorgeous sunshine – very much appreciated watching from UK in November – and the cricket wasn’t bad either! Hailed by local press as the villain of the piece (and that’s putting it politely!) Stuart Broad had a belting day’s work taking 5 wickets to put Australia in a spin. The thing about test cricket though, is that you can’t really see how the match will go until both sides have completed their first innings, so Day 2 will be important. Exciting stuff – Can’t wait until tomorrow! Here are my drawings:

I’m a contemporary artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I capture the energy of elusive moments often starting with a quick pen and ink drawing. I write and publish my artworks on a blog called ‘Racing Lines’.
