Cycling art, Tour de France, watercolour pen and ink painting, The wheatfields of Essex by Maxine Dodd

Bonjour! The final stage of the Tour de France’s Grand Depart came south to Cambridge running through Essex to London for a sprint up the Mall. A calmer day from the previous two, the course passed through pink villages, fields of ripening wheat and blue linseed. Another lovely day with so many spectators lining the route, even the rain that began in London couldn’t keep them away. Marcel Kittel and Peter Sagan battled it out again for the stage, with Kittel pipping to the post. Tomorrow the Tour goes home to France but it’s been a wonderful detour to Britain. The entente is very cordiale!. Here are my drawings:

I love your sketches so much.
What do you do with them? Surely there is a book here.
