Hello! The 2015 Six Nations Rugby Union tournament got off to a great start last weekend. It’s so good to get my pens out to draw some sport and get moving again after winter. I looked at my post from drawing these matches in 2013 and discovered I feel exactly the same, ie ‘very rusty and challenged to high heaven to keep up!’ Today’s matches begin shortly, so just time to publish before the fireworks start! Phew! Here are my drawings:

I’m a contemporary artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I capture the energy of elusive moments often starting with a quick pen and ink drawing. I write and publish my artworks on a blog called ‘Racing Lines’.
