Hello! A quick update from the previous post, to say thanks to everyone at jGallery on Saturday. It was great to see old friends and meet new! Gallery owner Sue and I were delighted that some of the paintings will be making their way to new homes at the end of August. The exhibition has been curated with great imagination by Sue for which I’m so grateful! Do come and visit this lovely independent gallery if you can, you’ll find a warm welcome awaits! I’m a contemporary artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I capture the energy of elusive moments often starting with a quick pen and ink drawing. I write and publish my artworks on a blog called ‘Racing Lines’.
