Bonjour! Stage 10 became Australia Day with the first stage win this year for Michael Matthews. He lost out to Peter Sagan at the World Championships, so this victory was especially sweet, as the finishing positions were reversed in a great sprint to the line. I found that I kept reaching for the panorama paper for this stage, as there were many great views through gentle plane trees. Here are my drawings:

No1! Michael Matthews, Stage 10
I’m a mixed media visual artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work reflects my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – there is movement and energy everywhere.
