Tour of Britain 2016: Stage 3 – Congleton to Tatton Park, Knutsford

Hello!  Stage 3 saw the Tour of Britain move further south and west to the county of Cheshire -for the first time and certainly not the last. A lovely county with hills and dales and very enthusiastic cycling fans. The people were out in great numbers, from schools to cycling clubs and everyone in between! Villages and towns were festooned with orange bikes – great support from the people of Cheshire. They were rewarded with a phenomenal performance by Ian Stannard of Team Sky, who made a solo break and held his lead to take the win. Brill!  Here are my drawings:

    • Thanks Mike! I loved the school one too – All the children were waving over the wall and the guy outside taking his picture. He was wearing a team shirt and shorts of some sort (blue and yellow) but I couldn’t see the detail very well. I should have put him in a Tigers strip for fun, shouldn’t I? I feel a theme developing!!! 🙂

  1. I like the way these Tour pictures have reflected the gloom for some of the stages, with occasional glimpses of light, as good as ever.

  2. I was watching just outside bath today. Was the first time I’ve ever watched any tour. So exciting I loved it! Lovely photos!
