Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

  1. That’s a beautiful picture Maxine. 🙂 I was just reading about my dad’s time just after the War when he was on a minesweeper in the Med. He survived the War, but many didn’t of course. It’s a lovely tribute.

    1. Thanks so much Mike, it’s fascinating to hear different experiences like those of your Dad. My uncle was captured at Dunkirk, having lied about his age to join up, like so many did. He survived too, for which we were all very grateful. So many didn’t, as you say. It’s important to remember.
