Tour de France 2020: Stage 6 – Crowds on the mountain!
Stage 6 from Le Teil to Mont Aigoual, a hilly stage and the first stage in Yellow for Adam Yates, albeit in the most unusual circumstance, it is the chance for him to show why Yellow is a good colour for a rider of his ability and talent.
Crowds on the mountain
This first image shows the crowds on the mountain, out in plenty as ever but I imagine to see them must give mixed feelings for the riders and teams with the Covid tests due on the first rest day…
I’m a contemporary artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I capture the energy of elusive moments often starting with a quick pen and ink drawing. I write and publish my artworks on a blog called ‘Racing Lines’.
