Stage 7 was another sprinters’ stage, with another great finish… more to come on that. This first image shows another ‘through the trees’ moment, this time from the back, with the peloton snaking off into the distance and one fan balanced on the roadside barrier to get that great shot on his phone! Masked up and ready!
I’m a contemporary artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I capture the energy of elusive moments often starting with a quick pen and ink drawing. I write and publish my artworks on a blog called ‘Racing Lines’.
