Another group which featured today included Sergio Higuita, Guillaume Martin, Patrick Konrad, Louis Meintjes, Bauke Mollema and Omar Fraile – A strong band of climbers.

I’m a mixed media visual artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work reflects my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – there is movement and energy everywhere.

      You’re so kind! Sadly no – travel restrictions at the moment means it’s not possible to go – but I always draw the Tour from the wonderful feeds from the TV coverage – The cameramen/women do the most amazing work. I just look at their footage and use it as a basis to make my own interpretations. I try to draw ‘live’ where possible – but I also work from recorded video too – I like the movement.

        Me too! That’s how I began and still a favourite subject… dancers are tough too!
