Stage 18 – and a view, (finally!) of Wout Van Aert, who is such an accomplished cyclist – he can do anything – with his sights also set on the Olympics soon, but he seems to be able to do anything, from climbing to sprinting and of course, time trialling, this multi-talented Belgian rider is a joy to watch!

I’m a contemporary artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I capture the energy of elusive moments often starting with a quick pen and ink drawing. I write and publish my artworks on a blog called ‘Racing Lines’.
He really is! He seems to have everything doesn’t he? But then, he seems to be part of a very talented generation of riders. David Millar was saying that this year’s peloton is one of the most gifted he’s seen. I can believe it! Fingers crossed for Paris… should be very exciting!
