Racing Lines Lookback: Blues, reds and yellows! SOLD

Hello! This image from TDF 2017, Stage 2, saw the second wet day on the start of the race, but featured extraordinary work by peloton and breakaway alike. This picture shows a section of the peloton where the teams briefly gathered (if they did but know it!) into a great arrangement of primary colours, blues, reds and yellows… Beautifully done!

It’s always been a favourite of mine and I was delighted to show it recently in Oundle at the Canon Gallery, in April.

The painting has sold but lovely to lookback as I feel it is a highlight of my ten years of covering the great race.

I’m a mixed media visual artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work reflects my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – there is movement and energy everywhere.
