Author: Maxine Dodd - Art

I'm a contemporary fine artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is very much a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My subjects have varied from landscape to animals, musicians, dancers and lately sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing - even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I try to capture the energy of elusive, fleeting moments, hence the name of the blog, 'Racing lines'.
