Hello! Day 6 saw an incredible competition in the Men’s Ski Slopestyle. Fantastic competitors from all over the world but it was clean sweep of medals for the skiers from the USA, who were simply magnificent. Great lads! Here are my drawings:
Hello! Day 5 began in glorious sunshine for the Women’s Downhill event. A great course put all to the test but the outcome was a gold medal for two women, Dominique Gisin of Switzerland and Tina Maze of Slovenia – who flew down the run in 1:41.57. Wonderful! Here are my drawings:
Hello! I’m still so excited by the wonderful slopestyle contests from the past 2 days – I thought I’d post a few extras before turning to the proper business of Day 3! Here are my drawings:
Hello! Second day at Sochi saw an amazing Men’s Downhill – heartbreak for my favourite skier Bode Miller, but an incredible run for Austria’s Matthias Mayer. A fine win for Jamie Anderson in the Women’s Slopestyle and a bronze medal for GB’s Jenny Jones. What a day! Here are my drawings:
Hello! Still on the path of music, I’ve been working on more drawings of faces at play. More finding their way to the dustbin than here, but I wanted to share these three with you. Here are my drawings:
Hello! Following my recent post inspired by cellos and basses, I’ve been looking and drawing more musicians, this time concentrating on their faces while they play. Arguably, the most amazing face belonged to cellist Paul Tortelier, a wonderful and much-missed musician. The drawings I’ve made of him here are a start and I’ll have to practice more, but I wanted to include them. You’ll see…

Here’s hoping you had a wonderful Christmas and looking forward to 2014, wishing you peace and joy! Here are some drawings:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
Hola! Stage 7 of La Vuelta turned south and crossed into the heat of Andalucia. Riders coped with temperatures touching 38 degrees as they left the countryside for the tree-lined town of Mairena de Aljarfare on the outskirts of Seville. The race was a much closer affair than Stage 6, with a nip and tuck race between the two leaders Gilbert and Stybar to…
Hola! Stage 6 of La Vuelta explored further inland, into the plains of bull-fighting country. Certainly the theme carried over into the race with an incredible performance by Tony Martin. As the world time-trial champion, he set a blistering pace and led the stage by a great distance for 170km. In spite of huge effort, the peloton could not keep up. The sting came…
