Hello! The success of the Paralympic Games in Sochi was great to see. Team GB were the UK’s most successful Winter Olympians ever, simply amazing. I’ve made a collection of drawings from both events as a new page, with a little reminder here. Spring is well on its way and time to leave the snow behind. Thank you for following, see you very soon. Here are my drawings:

Hello! How wonderful it is to see Sochi again with the start of the Paralympic Games! This post is dedicated to the brilliant Team GB skiers, Kelly Gallagher and Jade Etherington with their guides, Charlotte Evans and Caroline Powell. Brilliant performances from them have seen a haul of Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, the first British women so to do. Brilliant! Here are my drawings:

Hello! The last few days coming up. I noticed that there are many shades of blue all over the place – not least in the eyes of Team GB’s Women’s Curling team, which I have found very difficult to capture! But there is the blue of the night sky, blues of team uniforms and the emotional blues that this great event is coming to an end. Here are my drawings:

Hello! Back to sporting action – a selection of thrills and spills. Whether indoors on the ice or outside in the sunshine or even in snowflakes the size of dinner-plates, they’re all wonderful to see! Here are my drawings:

Hello! The past three days have been so packed with sport, I confess to playing catch up! Part of my problem is that I’ve been distracted by the beauty of the mountains and scenery at Sochi – very, very beautiful. The weather was glorious at the weekend, today there is rain but either way, the mountains are breathtaking. Here are my drawings:

Hello! Day 7 was unique for British sports fans. On St Valentine’s Day 1984, the Gold Medal for Ice Dance was won by Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean. 30 years on, also on St Valentine’s Day, the Gold Medal for Women’s Skeleton was won by Elizabeth Yarnold. Both events breathtaking and both brilliant. Amazing achievements that we’ll remember here for a long time to come. Here are my drawings:

Hello! Day 6 saw an incredible competition in the Men’s Ski Slopestyle. Fantastic competitors from all over the world but it was clean sweep of medals for the skiers from the USA, who were simply magnificent. Great lads! Here are my drawings:

Hello! Day 5 began in glorious sunshine for the Women’s Downhill event. A great course put all to the test but the outcome was a gold medal for two women, Dominique Gisin of Switzerland and Tina Maze of Slovenia – who flew down the run in 1:41.57. Wonderful! Here are my drawings:

Hello! Day 4 began with another incredible contest in the air with Ski Slopestyle. Ladies first and all GB fans watching Katie Summerhayes who put in a great performance at her first Olympics. A fine win for Canada’s Dara Howell. By complete contrast, the curling continues and the beginning of the half-pipe featuring the legendary Shaun White. It’s another engrossing day! Hello! Third day at Sochi saw an amazing Men’s Short-track contest. Amazing progress by GB’s Jack Whelbourne only to see him fall in the final but wonderful achievement for Canadian Charles Hamelin, 3rd Gold for him. Also great mogul skiing and ice hockey and still more – phew! Another great day! Here are my drawings:

Hello! Second day at Sochi saw an amazing Men’s Downhill – heartbreak for my favourite skier Bode Miller, but an incredible run for Austria’s Matthias Mayer. A fine win for Jamie Anderson in the Women’s Slopestyle and a bronze medal for GB’s Jenny Jones. What a day! Here are my drawings:

Hello! Suddenly a complete change of direction! A must see though – the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. The first day has seen some fantastic sport but my first post looks at Ice Dancing from the Team Figure Skating event. Some lovely routines – very romantic and in the run-up to Valentine’s Day, very appropriate! Here are my drawings:
