Hola! Stage 11 of La Vuelta was the individual time trial. After a much-needed rest day, the teams flew north to the province of Zaragoza. The stage was based around the landscape and town of Tarazona, including the corrida and a third category climb. The mighty thighs of Fabian Cancellara powered him round the course at a pace that proved to be impossible to beat. Fantastic! Here are my drawings:

I’m a contemporary artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I capture the energy of elusive moments often starting with a quick pen and ink drawing. I write and publish my artworks on a blog called ‘Racing Lines’.
