Hello! Another sign of Spring in the sporting world comes in the form of the Cheltenham Festival – an intoxicating mix of racing, mud, heartbreak and elation. I watch the horses and jockeys race with my heart in my mouth, just praying they get round safely! The first two days have been as exciting as ever – sport at its most extreme. Here a my drawings:

I’m a contemporary artist working in Leicestershire in the UK. I trained in Fine Art using different media including oils and acrylics, but my recent work is a return to my love of drawn media, especially pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. My theme is movement – My subjects are varied from landscape, animals, musicians, dancers and sport, especially cycling. The unifying feature of all these subjects is that they are constantly changing – even in a landscape there is movement everywhere! I capture the energy of elusive moments often starting with a quick pen and ink drawing. I write and publish my artworks on a blog called ‘Racing Lines’.
